Datuk Ruji Ubi Tours Four Villages in Merotai, Reminds Voters ‘Don’t Lose Another 5 Years’

MEROTAI, SABAH, MALAYSIA 23 November 2025  – Pakatan Harapan (PH) candidate for the Merotai State Legislative Assembly (DUN) seat, Datuk Ruji Ubi, today continued his campaign tour by engaging with residents in four villages: Kampung Pangkalan Asli, Kampung Nipah Bombalai, Kampung Hj Matahir, and Kampung Pagar Indah.

At each stop, Datuk Ruji – who is also the former Secretary-General of the Ministry of Home Affairs – listened to various stories from local residents, but found their aspirations to be the same: wanting changes that are truly felt at the village level.

“I managed to advise earlier, ‘Only 5 days left to vote, don’t end up losing another 5 years.’ Every development promise, every problem unsolved for years, every voice asking to be heard – all depend on the decision in these last five days,” he stated in his social media post.

He emphasized that this grassroots outreach is not merely campaigning, but about listening, noting down, and ensuring the voices of village residents are fully heard.

“We go down not just to campaign, but to listen, note, and ensure the village voices are heard. Our village’s future moves when we choose to move,” added Datuk Ruji.

This tour is part of the PH candidate’s vigorous efforts to connect with voters ahead of polling day for the 17th Sabah State Election on 29th November.
