MEROTAI, SABAH November 23, 2025 – Pakatan Harapan (PH) candidate for the Merotai state seat (DUN Merotai), Datuk Ruji Ubi, today visited Kampung Pengkalan Asli to personally listen to the voices and aspirations of residents, particularly the youth and parents, regarding the future of their children and families.
During the visit, Datuk Ruji – the former Secretary-General of the Ministry of Home Affairs – stressed that Merotai is a trust he is fighting for with full commitment.
“If given the trust by the people, this is the area I will drive forward with real development – development that is no longer just promises, but can be implemented with the wealth of experience I have carried for so long,” he said while mingling with the villagers.
Datuk Ruji also expressed his appreciation to Tan Sri Liew, stating, “My victory is also a victory for Tan Sri Liew,” emphasising that this struggle is a continuation of collective efforts for the progress of the entire Merotai community.
He pledged to continue listening to every voice of the people, as every opinion shared further strengthens his determination to work even harder.
“Together, let us open a new chapter for Merotai – more complete, more vibrant, and more focused on building the future,” Datuk Ruji affirmed before concluding the visit.
